Sharón Chandally Pedrini’s work carries tradition forward, innovating under the influence of generations. She explores the tension between asymmetry and balance, simplicity and chaos, and synthesizes her roots in Yemenite filigree with a uniquely modern sensibility. The result is an unfolding body of engaging work that looks to the future and nods to the past, celebrating the dance between old and new with grace, glamor, and a touch of grit.

Artist’s Statement
As an artist I am driven by the call to redefine space around the body and the relationship jewelry can have with it. My work incorporates a sense of play with a respect for great craftsmanship, and looks to everything from the ocean to acoustics for inspiration. I see the techniques passed down from my two great uncles as the embodiment of an ancient art-form, gradually refined through generations, and merge these techniques with my own creative vision: modern sculptural jewelry inspired by traditional silversmithing. I strive to create heirloom-quality pieces worthy of being passed down through the generations.
